In a bizarre collaboration that challenges conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of banned practices and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine cult.
The adventure centers on "bizarre trials and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Transformations
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Extra Content
Players who finish the quest will obtain an special katana alongside numerous objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

- Mikasa outfit for Naoe

Third Free Story Addition
