Actor Refutes Anti-Vax Position After Narrating Disputed Covid Documentary
The "Taken" star has provided his voice to a recent film that questions the safety of vaccinations and lauds ex- health official RFK Jr.
The Film's Disputed Origins
Titled "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is based on a popular book written by Judy Mikovits, who rose to infamy during the health crisis for allegations that Covid was caused by a problematic version of the seasonal immunization.
Her writing partner, a producer, has penned books with far-right radio host a known commentator. He wrote online praising Neeson's involvement in the film.
A Strong Statement
A spokesperson for the actor have released a comment firmly refuting implications that he subscribes to anti-vax beliefs.
"Many understand that misconduct may occur within the pharmaceutical industry, but that should never be equated to being against vaccines," the statement reads. "Liam has never been, and cannot be described as, anti-vaccination. His extensive work with the UN children's agency highlights his consistent support for global immunisation initiatives."
The response continued that the star had no hand in the project's editorial content and that questions about its content ought to go to the producers.
Major Themes Within the Film
In the film, the narration read by Neeson includes several strong points:
- It states that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "unconditional submission" to government bodies.
- It argues that "science has become deeply politicized."
- Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured saying, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
- The narration further attacks pandemic restrictions, claiming they caused severe distress that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
- On the topic of pandemic shots, it references a perspective that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "risky trials."
Past Background and Current Debates
The documentary further cites a past television report about HIV drug testing on children, which was afterwards the subject of a BBC apology by the broadcaster for editorial breaches.
Last month, RFK Jr instructed the Centers for Disease Control to change its long-held position that there is no connection between immunizations and autism. This claim is echoed in the documentary, even with a fresh analysis from the World Health Organisation confirming no connection has been found.
A Past Position of Advocacy
Differing from the film's narrative, Neeson has formerly expressed clear advocacy for vaccines in his position as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.
In 2022, he described vaccines as "a remarkable achievement," noting that "The conversation about vaccines in the past few years has forgotten how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in our history."
"Plague of Corruption" concludes with Neeson's voice stating, "This is not the conclusion of our narrative. This is the dawn of a different phase."
