Iranian Forces State Strike on American Facility in Bahrain, Amid Regional Military Operations.
Iran's military claims to have hit a US naval base in Manama, as the country executed operations across the region in response for a large-scale and continuing assault targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an area in the area of the command center of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The scope of any destruction is unclear and the American officials has remained silent.
Missile Defenses Activated
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - which all house US military bases - stated they have intercepted missiles in their territorial skies.
In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry said it had successfully engaged several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard declared it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the attack on the Islamic Republic carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That preceding assault - initiated at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted areas linked to the Iranian leadership, with US President Donald Trump urging the people of Iran to revolt against the regime.
Regional Fallout
In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems responded to the projectiles with high efficiency and shot down a series of missiles," the statement continued.
Officials reported missile fragments fell on a residential area in the capital, causing some material damage and killing a civilian.
The US Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
