LA Explodes in Celebration as Dodgers Secure Second World Series Victory
The City of Angels witnessed widespread celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-game World Series title. Fans worldwide joined Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in 25 years that a franchise has secured back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Enormous Crowds
Los Angeles area celebrations included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Social media videos show countless of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many carrying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The squad was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy proudly.

The procession path concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the players walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and the artist driving a light blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

Festivities started prior to the procession, with Dodgers fans setting off flares in the streets of Downtown Los Angeles on the previous evening.

In contrast, the team owner was met with a cooler reception at the rally. Video footage from the event appear to show Walter walking onstage to a combination of cheers and boos, with jeers punctuating his speech.
The World Series served as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for Los Angeles. An estimated quarter-million people attended to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, supporters this year showed equal or greater enthusiasm.
“I feel like it’s nearly twice from last year,” he said. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
