Recent Processing Facility Strike Reveals 'Absolutely No Safe Places in Russia's Far Hinterland'

Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have hit the Russian Bashneft refinery in Ufa, located approximately 1,400 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, triggering detonations and a inferno, according to a source in the Ukrainian intelligence agency.

Ukrainian President Calls On Trump to Broker Peace in the Conflict

A pair of individuals were killed within a place of worship in Kostyantynivka when it was struck, according to local authorities.

In the Russian adjacent territory of the Belgorod region, a lorry operator was killed by a Ukrainian strike, per municipal sources.

Energy Repair Efforts in Kyiv

Efforts carried on on the weekend to restore power in Kyiv, after assaults.

Energy had been restored to more than 800,000 citizens by the weekend and the biggest power firm announced the primary efforts to restore power was complete though certain disruptions persisted.

Anti-Aircraft Operations and UAV Downings

Ukraine's defense forces downed or disrupted 54 of 78 total UAVs from Russia deployed towards the country in the dark hours, the aerial defense command reported on Saturday.

Russia's military authorities claimed it shot down 42 UAVs from Ukraine over its own soil.

Cuba Rejects Accusations of Deploying Troops to Ukraine

The Cuban government on Saturday rejected US assertions it has sent military personnel to fight in the Ukraine war, while stating officials in Havana "do not have accurate data about citizens of Cuba" engaged "independently" or "within the troops of both sides".

The government department in the capital stated 26 Cuban citizens had been sentenced to incarceration ranging from 5 to 14 years for participating as mercenaries since last September when reports emerged of Cuban nationals being dispatched to the battlefield in Ukraine.

The program, a state project that urges opposing fighters to give up, said in spring: "Our information indicates the names and personal details of one thousand and twenty-eight Cuban nationals who enlisted with the Russian military in recently."

The Cuban foreign ministry stated of Cubans who might be involved: "Undeniably that none of them has the backing, allegiance, or authorization of the Cuban state for their activities."

Relatives of Cubans who departed to the Russian Federation in the year reported to Agence France-Presse at the time that their loved ones had been deceptively recruited through ads on social media.
