Dean Henderson Not a save to perform during the opening 45 until tested by an opponent's curling effort. His sliding challenge on Qazim Laci highlighted excellent reading of the game. 6/10

The midfielder Crosses from dead balls and set-plays created chances. Was given license to move in left midfield but was offside upon receiving with a chance to score. Given a deserved break after an hour. 6/10

The star midfielder Played in a high spot down the right while also did plenty of defensive duties. Showed glimpses of brilliance and scuffed a shot over. Withdrawn in the closing stages by Rogers, his rival, after receiving a caution. 7

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with the team's clearest opportunity of the first half, his strike smartly stopped from Thomas Strakosha. With Quansah staying deep, he was forced to stretch the play down the right side but his crosses from the touchline varied in quality. Replaced with 15 to go. Six

The captain The difference-maker netting 77th and 78th goals in an England shirt. The opener a trademark poacher’s finish while the second an excellent header having drifted away from his marker. Aged 32, he’s only getting better and England have every chance in future competitions with him up top. 8

Eberechi Eze Struggled to get into the game from the left. Was presented with a decent opportunity after being played in by Bellingham however the keeper made the save. His replacement had a greater influence after coming on. 5/10
