The Streaming Giant Selects Spot-On Star for Bon Clay in One Piece Upcoming Installment

Baroque Works is set to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until the third season, and a adored, fan-favorite member has just been cast.

The platform declared this week that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Bentham. This character can use their power to morph into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve touched with their right hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will play a rendition of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary, rather than as a drag artist, in the live-action show, as in the source material and animated series.

This performer will work alongside several other fresh additions tasked with bringing Baroque Works to life, including leader Sir Crocodile, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.

Although this character is a major member of the organization, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. With the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this signals a major departure in the timing of their first appearance, one that could indicate further changes to the story’s structure.
